Indiana’s electric cooperatives and their statewide magazine, Indiana Connection, are accepting applications for awards that recognize the community spirit of Indiana’s youth.
About the Program
The Youth Power and Hope Awards program:
- Honors 5th through 8th graders who are leaders in their communities
- Emphasizes the important role young Hoosiers play in shaping their communities
Up to 5 qualified candidates will be selected to:
- Receive $500
- Be featured in an upcoming issue of Indiana Connection, among other highlights
Application & Deadline
- To complete an application, visit the Indiana Connection Youth Power and Hope webpage
- The deadline to apply is Monday, October 2, 2023.
Past Recipients
Past award recipients include students who have:
- Initiated a coat drive for the underprivileged
- Supported patients at Riley Hospital for Children
- Worked with special needs children
- Volunteered at a local animal shelter
- Raised money for the American Cancer Society, and more
