Join a dynamic organization by serving on the

Clark County REMC Board of Directors. Deadline for petitions is Jan. 16, 2023, at 4 p.m.

The Board of Directors for Clark County REMC is the legal body which both the membership and the government hold accountable for the actions of the organization. The men and women elected to serve are dedicated people who have the interests of all members of the organization at heart.

In 2023, REMC members will elect board members representing Districts 3, 6 and 7. District 3 represents Monroe and Wood townships in Clark County and Polk township in Washington County. District 6 represents Silver Creek township in Clark County. District 7 represents Utica and Jeffersonville townships in Clark County.
Any eligible person who wishes to run for the board of directors (including an incumbent director) must be nominated by petition. The petition may only be signed by members of Clark County REMC.

About the Board of Directors

If you receive electric service from the Clark CountyBoard District Map of 7 districts REMC you are a member. The privilege of being a member includes being an owner of the company. The fact that we are owned by our members, instead of stockholders, is what makes us a cooperative. We believe that being locally owned and controlled is a better way of doing business.

Your organization is different than an investor-owned company. Because you are a member and regardless of your financial status, you have a voice in the way this company is run. You have the opportunity to elect another Clark County REMC member to serve on the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is the legal body which both the member and the government hold accountable for the actions of the organization.

The 7 member board represents each of the 7 districts located in 5 counties within the territory served by Clark County REMC. The men and women elected to serve are dedicated people who have the interests of all members and the organization at heart.
