2024 Trades Camp

What is Trades Camp?
Trades Camp is a unique camp that will be offered on April 25, 2024 at the Clark County REMC headquarters in Sellersburg (7810 State Road 60).

The Trades Camp will have professionals from various trades in attendance, including meter technicians, special equipment operators, journeyman linemen, tree trimmers, utility locators, generation and transmission experts, energy advisors and warehouse/logistics professionals.

This full-day program starts at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 2:00 p.m.  The day will include networking with experienced professionals, where they will share their experiences, provide knowledge, and give one-on-one advice about life in their trade. Students will also enjoy hands-on experiences and demonstrations in specific trades and skills, allowing them to gain real-world knowledge about the profession. Students will finish with a live line demo performed by Clark County REMC linemen.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be a junior or senior in high school
  • Provide own transportation to and from event
  • Have school absence approved by parent/guardian and school official
  • Complete the application by April 19th.
