Power Cost Adjustment

As energy prices change daily, so do Clark County REMC’s costs to deliver electricity. The Power Cost Adjustment (PCA) represents an additional charge or credit per kWh for power purchased from Hoosier Energy not included in the base retail rates of Clark County REMC.

2023 Residential Time of Use Rate

If you are able to manage your energy habits, our Time of Use (TOU) Rate may be the best fit for your home.

Rates on a TOU plan are based on the time of day and the season.

By taking advantage of lower rates during off-peak periods, you can avoid higher rates when energy resources are in demand.

Eligibility

  • Single-phase residential electric service supplied through a single delivery point with installed transformer capacity of 50 kilo-volt-ampere (kVA) or less
  • The capacity of individual motors served under this schedule shall not exceed 10 horsepower without consent from the Corporation
  • Member must remain on the rate a minimum of 12 months.

Charges & Fees

  • On-Peak Charge: $0.2245 per kWh
  • Off-Peak Charge: $0.0732 per kWh
  • Facility Charge: $36 per month

2023 Time-of-Use Electric Vehicle Rate

This 2022 calendar identifies on-peak, off-peak, and super off-peak (overnight) time periods if you are enrolled in our Time-of-Use Electric Vehicle (EV) Rate Program. If you are able to manage your energy habits, our EV rate may be the best fit for your home.

Rates on a TOU plan are based on the time of day and the season.
By taking advantage of lower rates during off-peak/overnight periods, you can avoid higher rates when energy resources are in demand, saving up to 25% on electricity most of the year.

Notice will be given if at any time the TOU EV calendar is adjusted.

  • Off-Peak Charge: $0.0732 per kWh
  • Super Off-Peak Charge: $0.05322
  • Facility Charge: $36 per month

Terms of Payment

  • Payment for services rendered is due by the date printed on your bill
  • A late fee in the amount of 6% is added to your account if payment is not received by the due date
  • If you do not pay your bill, your account will become subject to disconnection for non-payment
  • Non-payment notices are printed on your bill
  • If your account is disconnected for non-payment, a security deposit equal to a 2-month average bill will be assessed to your account
  • This amount and non-payment by paying on time or requesting an extension of time when needed

Collect fee if trip is made to location for purpose of notification of unpaid services, even if service is not disconnected.

Members having seasonal establishments and subsequently reconnected as a convenience within a 12-month period.

Service charge to investigate meter tampering or theft

Additional charges will be assessed in the amount equal to the cost of replacing missing, stolen, or damaged metering equipment.

Note: Meter tampering will not be tolerated and is a violation of Indiana State Law. If a meter is determined to be tampered with unlawfully, all charges, including the $250 fee, security deposit, and account balance, is required.
