      Temporary Unit Served from Overhead Lines

      Furnished and installed by member or contractor.

      Note: Neutral wire must be marked. Member to install the temporary unit. A Clark County REMC representative will determine where the unit will be set by meeting with contractor or customer.

      Temporary unit served from overhead lines diagram. Weatherhead mounted to post at top. Post (minimum 4 inches by 4 inches by 14 feet set 4 feet deep braced against pull. Weatherproof entrance cable (minimum #6 copper) per NEC 18 inch extending. Cable straps. Meter base and meter (installed by REMC) 5 feet 6 inches above ground. Water tight connector and conduit nipple wiring from base to fuse or breaker box. Weatherproof fuse or breaker box (60 amp minimum) with GFI circuit protectors. Grounding to (NEC specs) and ground rod 5/8 inches by 8 feet. Installation must always be in accordance with the rules set forth in the latest revisions of National Electric Code.
