Residential Rate

Energy Charge: $.10186 per kWh
Facility Charge: $34.50 per month

Power Cost Adjustment

As energy prices change daily so do Clark County REMC’s costs to deliver electricity. The PCA represents an additional charge or credit per kWh for power purchased from Hoosier Energy not included in the base retail rates of Clark County REMC. The amount will change monthly. The power cost adjustment is printed on your monthly bill. The average bill would vary by less than $10 a month. Rates do not include the Power Cost Adjustment.

Residential Time of Use Rates

If you are able to manage your energy habits, our Time of Use Rate may be the best fit for your home. Rates on a TOU plan are based on the time day and the season. By taking advantage of lower rates during off-peak periods you can avoid higher rates when energy resources are in demand.

Applicable to single-phase residential electric service supplied through a single delivery point with installed transformer capacity of 50 kVA or less. Members with annual kWh consumption of 12,000 kWh or more are eligible. The capacity of individual motors served under this schedule shall not exceed ten (10) horsepower without consent from the Corporation. Member must remain on the rate a minimum of twelve months. On-Peak Charge: $0.2263 per kWh
Off-Peak Charge: $0.07498 per kWh
Facility Charge: $36.00 per month

Spring, Fall, and Weekends

  • Off-peak rate: 0.07498 cents per kWh
  • Every day March - May and September - November
  • All weekends
  • Holidays (New Years Day, Independence Day, Christmas)
Winter Weekdays

  • ON-peak rate: 0.2263 cents per kWh
  • Weekdays in December, January, and February
  • On-Peak: 7 a.m. - 10 a.m., 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.
  • Off-peak: 12 a.m. - 7 a.m., 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., 9 p.m. - 12 a.m.
Summer Weekdays

  • ON-peak rate: 0.2263 cents per kWh
  • Weekdays in June, July, and August
  • On-Peak: 3 p.m. - 9 p.m.
  • Off-Peak: 12 a.m. - 3 p.m., 9 p.m. - 12 a.m.

Payment Services

Terms of Payment

Payment for services rendered is due by the date printed on your bill. A late fee in the amount of 6% is added to your account if payment is not received by the due date. If you do not pay your bill, your account will become subject to disconnection for non-payment. Non-payment notices are printed on your bill. If your account is disconnected for non-payment, a security deposit equal to a two month average bill will be assessed to your account. This amount and non-payment by paying on time or requesting an extension of time when needed. 

Service Fees

  • $25 Un-honored payment (check, electronic transaction, etc.)
  • $50 Reconnect Fee
  • $50 Collect fee if trip is made to location for purpose of notification of unpaid services, even if service is not disconnected.
  • $100 Members having seasonal establishments and subsequently reconnected as a convenience within a twelve month period.
  • $250+ Service charge to investigate meter tampering or theft; Additional charges will be assessed in the amount equal to the cost of replacing missing, stolen or damaged metering equipment. Note: Meter tampering will not be tolerated and is a violation of Indiana State Law. If a meter is determined to be tampered with unlawfully, all charges including the $250 fee, security deposit and account balance is required.
