If you were at our Fish Fry this summer, you know it was a day we won’t soon forget. More than 1,300 people showed up—double what we’ve seen in the past! Our office grounds were packed with cars and full of energy. The music from Kel + Ro was a hit, the seat cushion giveaway disappeared in record time, and, best of all, together we raised over $5,000 for our Lend a Hand program to help local families.
To be honest, the food delays were unacceptable. Many of you waited far too long in extreme heat, and for that, we are truly sorry. We planned based on past events, and this year’s response was unlike anything we’ve seen before.
What stood out most, though, was the spirit of cooperation. Members showed patience and kindness, employees went above and beyond, and together you reminded us what makes this co-op community so special.
