Last month, Clark County REMC closed our office to dedicate a day to serving our community as part of the Indiana Electric Cooperatives' statewide Community Day program. This year, we focused our efforts on Silver Heights Camp in New Albany, Indiana, the longest-running camp in the state, which has been serving the community since 1888.
We partnered with Townsend Tree Service and spent the day building benches, clearing and graveling trails, tending to flower beds, cutting firewood, removing trees, repairing the light board, and power washing all the cabins. It was hard work, but incredibly rewarding, and we all had a fantastic time working together!
