CEO’s Message – October 2026

Celebrating the Cooperative Spirit

Jason Clemmons, CEO

October is National Co-op Month, allowing us to celebrate what makes Clark County REMC special: our members, our communities, and the cooperative spirit that connects us all.

We’re kicking off October with Buckets of Fun! Members who donate six canned goods or other nonperishable items will receive a 5-gallon REMC bucket as our thank-you. All donated items will help stock local food pantries and community centers during the fall and winter months.

We’re also giving members a chance to win 1 of 3 fall-themed baskets. Each basket will be filled with seasonal favorites, a $50 grocery gift card, and a $75 REMC bill credit. With 3 convenient ways to enter, joining the fun is easy.

Our celebration continues with our annual Community Service Day. The office will be closed on Tuesday, October 20, as Clark County REMC employees spend the day volunteering at Deam Lake State Recreation Area. Our team will clear hazardous trees, repair lights, build picnic tables, and complete other projects throughout the property. This day of hands-on service reflects 1 of the principles that have guided electric cooperatives from the beginning: Concern for Community.

That commitment extends far beyond October. As a member-owned cooperative, we are here to provide reliable electricity while also investing our time and resources in the places we call home. Thank you for being a Clark County REMC member and helping us build stronger communities together.
