CEO’s Message – April 2026

Planning Ahead For Future Growth

Jason Clemmons, CEO

Over the next several months, I’d like to spend some time talking about the growth we’re seeing across our communities. This month, we’ll start with residential growth.

For many people, numbers help tell a story, so here’s one to consider: 8,000.

That’s the 10-year picture of new homes built or being built in the areas served by Clark County REMC. Over the past 5 years, more than 4,000 homes have already been added in our territory, and another 4,000 are anticipated in the next 5 years. Growth like this says something important about our region: people want to live here. Our communities are thriving, and we’re proud to help power that progress.

For your electric cooperative, every new home means careful planning. Our engineering team studies how electricity is used in growing areas and determines what upgrades may be needed to continue providing safe, reliable service. We also work months in advance to order poles, wire, transformers, and other equipment so power is ready when a new home connects to the grid.

Growth on this scale means thousands of new meters, additional miles of line, and electrical equipment that will serve families and neighborhoods for decades to come. It also means ensuring our employees have the tools, space, and resources they need to keep delivering the reliability our members expect.

At Clark County REMC, we’re committed to planning ahead and investing wisely so we’re ready to serve our communities for years to come.
