Job Related Qualifications
As a Staking Engineer you will:
- Work with an elite team of engineers to design powerlines and structures to comply with NESC guidelines
- Design and prepare electronic staking sheets for new electric service, service upgrades and relocation of existing facilities.
- Inspect completed work orders in the field to assure staking sheets reflect as built design.
- Stake and design work plan jobs as needed.
Other Functions:
- Assist with outage restoration during storms by directing crews, drawing work orders and with damage assessment.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
- Communicate effectively with management, employees, members, and others.
- Demonstrate strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to describe and explain complicated or sensitive information, as well as the ability to listen.
- Hold and maintain a valid driver's license.
Education and Experience:
- Vocational/Technical School degree or two years of college level courses in a related engineering field required.
- Industry experience may be considered in lieu of education requirements.
