Job Description

Clark County REMC is currently seeking a full-time Staking Engineer to join our dynamic team of engineers. If you would enjoy working in a collaborative environment for a company that truly appreciates its employees then Clark County REMC is looking for you.

Job Related Qualifications

As a Staking Engineer you will:

  • Work with an elite team of engineers to design powerlines and structures to comply with NESC guidelines
  • Design and prepare electronic staking sheets for new electric service, service upgrades and relocation of existing facilities.
  • Inspect completed work orders in the field to assure staking sheets reflect as built design.
  • Stake and design work plan jobs as needed.

Other Functions:

  • Assist with outage restoration during storms by directing crews, drawing work orders and with damage assessment.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.
  • Communicate effectively with management, employees, members, and others.
  • Demonstrate strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to describe and explain complicated or sensitive information, as well as the ability to listen.
  • Hold and maintain a valid driver's license.

Education and Experience:

  • Vocational/Technical School degree or two years of college level courses in a related engineering field required.
    • Industry experience may be considered in lieu of education requirements.
