      Temporary Unit Served from Underground Lines

      Furnished and installed by member or contractor.

      Note: Member to install the temporary unit. Set temporary unit 1 foot from transformer or pedestal on the right side (looking at lock).

      Temporary Unit Served from Underground Lines diagram. Post at top (minimum 4 inches by 4 inches by 10 feet) set 4 feet deep. Meter base and meter (installed by REMC) 5 feet 6 inches above ground. Weatherproof fuse or breaker box (60 amp minimum) with GFI circuit protections. Conduit nipple wiring from base to fuse box and water tight connectors. Ground wire (NEC specs) and conduit with wire going to transformer or pedestal. Ground rod 5/8 inches by 8 feet going 4 feet deep underground. 3 underground conductors per NEC to reach 2 feet into transformer or pedestal. Installation must always be in accordance with the rules set forth in the latest revisions of National Electric Code.
