Meter on Building – Overhead Service

The member or electrician will install all grounding, meter base, and complete entrance up to and including the weatherhead.

For a two-story or bi-level with the entrance below overhang, an eyebolt must be installed for Clark County REMC attachment.

Note: Neutral wire must be marked.

Meter on Building - Overhead Service. Single Story: 3 feet above roof at top with weatherproof entrance cable minimum 18 inches. Rigid conduit and meter base and meter (installed by REMC) 5 feet 6 inches above ground. Ground wire (NEC specs) and final grade with ground rod. 2-story: eyebolt at top with weatherhead. Meter base and meter 5 feet 6 inches above ground. Ground wire (NEC specs) and ground rod and final grade. 12 feet if across yard ground to eyebolt. 15 feet if across drive ground to eyebolt height. Installation must always be in accordance with the rules set forth in the latest revisions of National Electric Code. Note: neutral wire must be marked.
